Steorn, an Irish company, has claimed it has a method of creating free energy using magnets. This defies the laws of physics, because it claims it is getting energy from nowhere. They were going to show a perpetual motion machine on display in England, but the deivce failed due do “technical problems arose during the installation of the demonstration unit in the display case on Wednesday evening. These problems were primarily due to excessive heat from the lighting in the main display area. Attempts to replace those parts affected by the heat led to further failures and as a result we have to postpone the public demonstration until a future date.”

I am not sure whether or not to believe in what they say. If they are not telling the truth, it is unorthodox to cause so much publicity to the company, which with just cause its downfall. If they are correct, or the thing works, just not how they say it just, then it will be one of the best inventions since fire.

seems unlikely a magnet still use energy and well you could build one in space theoretically you couldn't gain energy from it.
